THE Under-Secretary of State for India presents his compliments to the Under- Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs, and, by direction of the Earl of Crewe, forwards herewith, for the information of the Secretary of State, copy of enclosures in a letter from the Foreign Secretary to the Government of India, dated the 26th January, 1911, relative to the operations on the Burmah-China frontier.

January 19, 1911. FOLLOWING telegram, dated the 18th January, from His Majesty's Consul, Tengyueh:-
The taotai has asked me under instructions from Viceroy, if Government of Burmah intend to establish civil and military posts in unadministered territory. I replied that I have no information.
